T-ara release Mini Album John Travolta Wannabe

T-ara has been turning heads with their step back into the 70s with their mini-album, “John Travolta Wannabe“ Inspired by Saturday Night Fever, John Travolta, and the popular sounds of the 70s and 80s, the group’s new single Roly Poly is a disco-style dance smash by Shinsadong Tiger and Choi Kyu Sung.

The girls was so adorably retro for the album concept and music video, which will co-star teen idols of the year. T-ara even bringing back classic dance moves like the hustle and the ABC dance into their choreography! The album also includes the new song “Really Really Like You”, and remix versions of five of their hit songs.

The girls has always flirted with some hilarious styles throughout the years, like the stupidly amazing “Bo Peep Bo Peep” or their ‘Native Americans living in a tropical jungle’ concept for “YaYaYa”, so their John Travolta Wannabe comeback just sounds like an attention-grabbing continuation of their usual style.

F(x) First Album Repackage Hot Summer

After winning triple crown and swept no. 1 on the various music progams with their comeback single, ‘Pinocchio‘, now the red hot girls f(x) scheduled to release their first album repackaged titled ‘Hot Summer‘ with the same single tittle as the album tittle as the main song for their comeback.

“Hot Summer” is a dance pop track with an intense synthesized sound and beat, that tell the story of girls who find romance in the days of summer. All their fans have meanwhile pointed out that the song is likely to be a Korean remake of the original song of the same name by German pop girl group, Monrose.

The album is scheduled to be released on June 14th that contains 14 songs including the new song ‘Hot Summer’ and also include the song from the Ost of ‘Paradise Ranch soundtrack'.

The new song ‘Hot Summer’ is a unique blend of music and the group will present a colorful stage in which explosive response is expected from music fans.

4MEN New Album The Artist

After released their video teaser for “Once While Living” last week, 4Men has finally released their new album “The Artist” earlier this week while beginning their comeback promotions on SBS’s Inkigayo.

The production of the album was lead by Producer Yoon Min Soo alongside with members of Young Jae, Kim Won Joo, and Shin Yong Jae. Since the three personally was take a part in the composing and creation of lyrics, “The Artist” truly remarks their new transformation from mere vocalists to artists.

The main title track “To Live At Least Once”, is a ballad about a man that is unable to let his love gone, even though he have to prays for her happiness. And the track is most noted for Shin Yong Jae’s explosive vocal display in the chorus, and the title idea was taken from the idea of a desperate man’s that wish of wanting to meet his love again for the last time in his life time.

Besides their main title track, “To Live At Least Once“, 4MEN has also added song “Crush“, “It Won’t Work“, “I Love You“, and “My Girlfriend” as their new album title tracks as well.

And for the teaser it was a culmination of the stories that were featured in previous teasers for ‘Unrequited Love‘, ‘I Love You‘, and ‘It’s Not Working‘, and also of dealt with the themes of break-ups, longing, and reunions.

The Video teaser was so touching, thanks to support by pianist Jin Bora and actors Kim Sung Oh and Jin Yi Han that heve lent their acting in the music videos. The teaser also require them to cry as well. 4MEN’s sorrowful vocals adds a depth to the beautiful videos that making the teasers seem like a short film and so touching.

Their album, ‘The Artist‘, will be released on June 7th.

Kim Hyun Joong First Mini Album Release Break Down

Park Jung Min, Kim Hyung Jun, and Heo Young Saeng have all released solo albums this year, and now it's time for leader! Kim Hyung Joong's first solo mini-album Break Down includes six tracks covering both ballads and dance numbers. The album also passed through the hands ofprestigious sound engineer, Ken Louis (Eminem, Kanye West, and Usher), who personally engineered it himself in New Jersey for a perfect sound quality.

“Break Down” combines powerful electric brass and synth sounds to create an energetic track. The song was composed by Steven Lee and is classified as a ’south urban dance track’. Right from its beginning phases, the song was composed with a dynamic choreography in mind to ensure a strong performance.

The album's main track Please is a R&B pop number with melancholic lyrics and grand piano and orchestral arrangement. Rapper Double K features in another new song, Break Down.

Secret was first introduced through a documentary program titled Secret Story which aired on the cable channel Mnet. The program chronicled their debut process and aired their invitation only debut show case which took place on September 29, 2009. The group released the MV for their debut digital single “I Want You Back” on October 13, 2009 and appeared on M! Countdown for their debut performance on October 15, 2009.

Oh, honey! After making hearts flutter with their last single Shy Boy, Secret continues with a sweet retro concept for their second single album. The song’s been climbing quickly on the charts thanks to its ability to approach a wide audience, bypassing barriers of age and gender.

Listeners remarked that when they heard “Starlight Moonlight” (co-produced by hit makers, Kang Ji Won and Kim Ki Bum), it gave them a serene moment in their fast-paced lives bringing them back to simpler sweeter times. The title track "Starlight, Moonlight" evokes the shy innocence of days gone with its lyrical, sing along melody, and "Oh! Honey" captures the emotions of a girl falling in love.

F.T. Island Third Mini Album Return

After a long hiatus, the F.T. Island boys releasing their chart-topping Japanese album, the boys make a kicked off their comeback promotions returns to Korean music with their third mini-album “RETURN”. The band has focused mainly on overseas activities and promoting in japan for the past half year so it's a welcome Return indeed for K-pop fans.

Their title track, “Hello Hello” was a fast-paced rock track that was recorded at 200 BPM. And with an added of acoustic effect, the song is perfect for summer season because definitely a refreshing rock track.

Representatives of FNC Music stated, “F.T. Island has earned great achievements in Japan, such as landing leading roles in Japanese dramas and placing second on the Oricon chart. They’ll finally be making their comeback into Korea, and the members are all working hard in anticipation of meeting their fans again.”

The title and lyrics are about a man who’s unwilling to bid farewell to his lost lover by greeting her with a “hello hello” instead of a “goodbye.”

Mnet’s “Superstar K” contestant, Kim Ji Soo, recently released his debut self-titled mini-album, “Kim Ji Soo“. The album contains 6 songs: the title track, “Miss You So“, a self-written song “Fall in Love Soon“, a duet song by singer/songwriter Yozoh called “Puzzle“, and an acoustic song called “Luxury Song“.

Kim Ji Soo’s agency, Shofar Music, stated on May 18th, “The included songs overall give off a pop feel. Through the songs, listeners will be able to hear Kim Ji Soo’s musical growth since appearing on ‘Superstar K’.” The agency added, “We decided to name the album ‘Kim Ji Soo’ to emphasize his identity as a musician.”

Sunny Hill New Song Pit-a-pat Ost The Greatest Love

The ‘National Treasure Girls“, from MBC “The Greatest Love” revealed a music video for their OST song, “Pit A Pat”! ‘Pit A Pat’ is a song by Sunny Hill’s Joo Bi and had already received hot interest since the beginning of the drama. On the other hand, Sunny Hill will make a comeback in June.

On May 18th, the music video with Gong Hyo Jin, Yoo In Na, Lee Hee Jin, and Bae Seul Gi was released. The four girls are seen in the music video wearing a white dress, a feminine perm, and with cute expressions, making them resemble the old school girl group Fin.K.L.

Especially noticeable was Gong Hyo Jin who made slight mistakes in the choreography but still managed to follow along. Lee Hye Jin, who was from a sexy girl group, and cute maknae Yoo In Na also received interest from the fans plus Bae Seul Gi.

BEAST Release Their First Full Length Album Fiction And Fact

BEAST joined the ranks of Korea's top boy bands last year with three chart-topping mini-albums and a sold-out concert. After making their Japanese debut earlier this year, the group is now finally releasing their first full-length album Fiction and Fact.

Fans immediately sensed that something was up and later met with a pleasing warn when the song was revealed. As if indirectly responding to Junhyung’s question, the song immediately ranked during the top of the charts.

The album's intro track The Fact leads smoothly into the emotional title song Fiction, which departs from the strong beats and sounds of BEAST's previous singles for a lyrical, piano-accompanied song about facing the pain of breakup. An orchestra version of the song is included on the album. Fiction and Fact also features the pop ballad "Calling You", the R&B and electronic dubstep style Virus, the unplugged version of Lightless, and Freeze which is written and composed by Jun Hyung.

2NE1 New Digital Single Lonely

YG Entertainment and Soompi have teamed up again to give you a written preview of the new 2NE1 digital single “Lonely.” The soon to be released MV teaser will add to the excitement of the digital single release later this week on Thursday.

“2NE1’s new song, ‘Lonely’, will be released simultaneously with its music video on the morning of May 12th. It is a slow pop song that uses string instruments. ‘Lonely’ was composed and written by Teddy, who’s also known for 2NE1’s previous hits, and features lyrics about the sorrows and loneliness of love.

The digital single “Lonely” has an acoustic sound to it interlaced with string instrumentals (violin/cello) throughout the song (heard in the first preview above). The acoustic sound is very pleasing to hear and is accompanied by vocal sets by the individual members which include sets sung in unison. The distinct sounds of a cello (some type of string instrument) fade in and out with the chorus sections of the song. It has a very chill and relaxing melody with the acoustic guitar playing throughout.
